So the first week in Flagstaff is already over! Time went by so quickly because we were busy getting to know all the equipment, the studio and we learned how to write for TV and how to present in front of a camera. We shot our little exercise like you can see below and we had loads of fun!!!I learned that I am quite a good presenter in front of the camera and I like to work on the switch board where you have to switch from one camera to another and blend in down streams. Audio on the other hand is something I totally suck at!
The weather is great. Sunshine wakes us up every morning and the temperatures are very pleasant and not too hot. Unfortunately a wind storm has been blowing over Flagstaff the last couple of days with a speed of 7.2 mph!!! So there is no need to think about a fancy hear do in the mornings. Too bad we cannot go kite surfing with such nice wind!!! L
Maria was the camera woman for our exercise we shot and I was obviously the talent. We had a little focus problem so instead of my eyes Maria nicely focused on my boobs! So they were in focus and everything else was blurry. That is how we developed the new porno style. If your porn talent is not the prettiest one just put her head out of focus! ;) However we will not continue using this new technique for our further projects at Flagstaff.The weather is great. Yesterday was Maria’s 22. Birthday so we went out for dinner to the Beaver Brewery. We were 14 people and they did not accept reservations so we had to wait for about 15 min but it defiantly paid off! I had wraps with fried shrimp and tortilla chips and dips and it was the best food I ever had in America. It was so yummy that Ileen and I decided that we have to finish the whole meal otherwise it would be a waste. So we did … Afterwards we regretted it because we felt so miserable with a huge belly trapped in the trousers waistband.
To party off all the delicious food we met the rest of our group at Granny’s closet. The atmosphere was great everyone was in a good mood and ready to party. It was also karaoke night and the girls persuaded me to do the spice girls with them. That was my real first time doing karaoke. For the sake of all I stayed away from the microphone though!!!! But it was fun. When they played “rock you” everyone got up and started singing. It was awesome. Real good night. At 1 o’clock they kicked us out and we went home. Darryl is a student of NAU and is assisting us with our projects during the program. He joined us to granny’s closet and he was so drunk it was hilarious. He was singing and dancing on the tables, hugging everyone and doing cartwheels on the way back to the dorm.
Today we skipped breakfast because we could finally sleep in!!! At 12:15 we took the bus that brought us to Flagstaff mal! SHOPPING!!! We spent around 5h in the mall checking out stores like: Victoria’s secret, Journey, Vans, Hollister, American Eagle and so on. In the end I went home with a new pair of pink Vans (shoes) and a jeans and a t-shirt from Hollister. Don’t worry Josie and Thijs I did not forget about you. Wait till Vegas!!!J
Tonight we have to pack all our stuff because we are checking out the dorms to check in in LAS VEGAS!!! Therefore you probably won’t be hearing from me till Wednesday or Thursday but stay tuned it will defiantly be interesting ;)
