Sedona Slide Rocks

Liebe Rona vielen Dank für deine Email!!!
Yesterday we spent the day in Sedona. There we visited the slide rocks which is like a natural water slide formed by very slippery rocks and streaming water. Whenever one could get himself past the shock of (felt) 0° water temperature it was a lot of fun sliding down the rocks. Luckily the sun was really hot and brought your body temperature back to normal in no time. After 10 min it got super hot though and you felt like ice cream melting in the sun. But everyone got a nice tan, some toooooo tanned :D

Afterwards our private NAU bus took us to Sedona city which is a very small artificial tourist town with souvenir shops. So we just walked around a bit, I had a 630ml can of Arizona ice tea which I could not finish by myself and then we got on the bus and drove back to the campus.

In the evenings we had our first official meeting with all the stuff members of NAU that will be teaching us in the next 3 weeks. During the meeting they served pizza and cookies for dinner.
2 police officers, a dorm employee and an employee from the campus health center spent their precious time lecturing us about drinking a lot of water, wearing sun protection, not drinking if we are under 21, locking our bikes if we have one because they might get stolen and many more very life saving information.
